Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Westin brand is entering the Milwaukee market. The Westin Milwaukee is projected to open its doors in the summer of 2017 on the U.S. Bank campus in the heart of downtown.
As an equity partner, Hexagon is pleased to add the Westin Milwaukee to an already diverse real estate portfolio. With offices in Denver and Milwaukee, Hexagon’s real estate investments include a wide range of hospitality, commercial and mixed-use developments that have helped redefine many areas in the Rocky Mountains, Midwest and across the country.
“The opening of the Westin Milwaukee will further strengthen the city’s thriving downtown,” said Hexagon CEO, Scott Reiman. “This is an exciting new addition to Milwaukee’s hospitality market and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
The Westin Milwaukee will overlook Lake Michigan and include more than 200 rooms, 9,000 square feet of meeting/conference facilities and all of the other high quality amenities the Westin brand is known for. Many of the city’s top business and entertainment destinations will easily be accessible from the new hotel, including the corporate headquarters of Johnson Controls and Northwestern Mutual, as well as the Milwaukee Art Museum, Historic Third Ward District, Milwaukee River Walk, Wisconsin Center, BMO Harris Bradley Center, Discovery Museum and, of course, Lake Michigan.
